Aerotek is hiring Maintenance Mechanics in the Chesterfield, VA area!

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in manufacturing equipment, plumbing systems, and boiler systems. The role involves maintaining and repairing conveyor systems and refrigeration units for meat processing, as well as performing preventative maintenance (PM) on production equipment. Responsibilities also include adjusting and replacing worn or defective mechanisms and parts, reassembling repaired systems, and working with various technical equipment.

Hard Skills

  • Industrial refrigeration experience preffered but not required

  • Plumbing and boiler experience preffered bu not required

  • Proficiency with 3-phase motors, conveyor belts, pneumatic solenoid valves, and multimeters

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings

Soft Skills

  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions

  • Adaptability to different shifts

  • Ability to follow strict hygiene/safety protocols

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position at a manufacturer in South Chesterfield, Virginia.

Work Environment

The work environment requires wearing protective gear such as gowns, hair nets, beard nets, shoe covers, and gloves. The facility maintains high cleanliness standards. The position involves working in varying temperature zones and different moisture levels. Training typically starts early morning with potential transition to a second shift.

Pay : $25-35/hr.
