Adecco US, Inc. Process Technician - Direct Hire in South Charleston, West Virginia

Adecco is seeking a skilled Process Technician for direct hire opportunity with a global company dedicated to the design and manufacturing of metal automotive parts.

This position is responsible for performing basic maintenance duties and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to support production in alignment with operational goals, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical background and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of operational excellence.

The position is located in South Charleston, WV at $19-$22/hr.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safety & Compliance:

  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety policies and processes (e.g., lockout/tag-out).

  • Follow safety regulations and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Technical Expertise & Support:

  • Assist in daily production needs as directed by the supervisor.

  • Lead the development of TPM activities and work instructions related to production equipment and processes.

  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on assembly and laser equipment, including laser calibration and troubleshooting.

  • Operate and monitor Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).

  • Conduct basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs as needed.

  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, repair/replacement of parts, and adjust machinery as required.

Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting:

  • Perform quality checks and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for part quality.

  • Understand part quality in relation to fixture seating and the impact on production.

  • Identify defective material and unusual operations, and report issues to supervision.

Maintenance & Continuous Improvement:

  • Support the maintenance team in emergency or unscheduled repairs during production.

  • Anticipate and troubleshoot personnel and process abnormalities to keep production running smoothly.

  • Update and maintain standard work forms and documentation as necessary.

Teamwork & Leadership:

  • Lead by example with a positive and supportive attitude.

  • Foster effective communication within the team and across departments.

  • Assist in performance evaluations and provide guidance to junior technicians.

Education and Experience:

Preferred:

Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience in the automotive industry or a production environment is a plus. Proficiency in computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, and email). Familiarity with SAP is an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong technical capacity to troubleshoot and solve complex equipment and production issues.

  • Proficient in using HMI systems and basic machine assembly/laser equipment.

  • Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with precision.

  • Good verbal, written, and listening communication skills.

  • Ability to lead by example, demonstrating respect and professionalism.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable working overtime as needed to meet production goals.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Vision: Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

  • Physical Activity: Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, and talk/hear.

  • Lifting: Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Work Environment: Exposed to weather conditions, moderate noise levels, and the physical demands of the production floor.

  • Concentration: Ability to focus on tasks over extended periods without distraction.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $22.00 per hour
