EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER - Serves as a primary transactional contact with customers. Provides excellent customer service while performing efficient and accurate banking transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Identifies and acts on referral opportunities for new products by recognizing customer needs. Maintains an acceptable record in daily balancing of working cash supply. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Consistently executes Citys phone and teller service standards to provide excellent customer service Displays a positive and professional attitude at all times Accurately processes routine bank transactions including but not limited to check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, account transfers and loan payments Maintains and balances a working cash supply Maintains an up to date knowledge of bank products and makes referrals to other departments appropriately Looks for opportunities to suggest bank products Completes all training within predetermined time limits Adheres to all bank regulatory, audit, and compliance policies and procedures Maintains an accurate balancing record in accordance with teller performance policy Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job POSITION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent 1 - 2 years of customer service experience Retail sales experience required, with cross-selling experience preferred Displays professional dress and demeanor Personal computer proficiency Cash handling experience preferred Typically the employee may sit to perform work; however, there may be some standing, walking, bending & lifting 5-10 lbs Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally-controlled conditions CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE: Excellent customer service and sales skills Excellent oral communication and listening skills Knowledge of (or ability to learn) the bank's operations, policies and procedures
