As aProcess Engineer for MTI in South Bend, INyou willleverage your process or application engineeringskills and manufacturing/production background or relevant academic experience in the application of one of our friction joining technologies to products manufactured by our customers world-wide. You will also have the opportunity to investigate and correct process problems as they are identified by internal and external customers. Your primary focus will be the support of our customers through the sales, service, contract welding, and equipment manufacturing departments. You will integratesystems and production asyou identify, develop and implement improvements to the existing manufacturing processes and methods.

A background in mechanical, manufacturing, welding or metallurgical engineering is preferred as well as familiarity and functionality with SolidWorks (or another CAD program), and M2M (or asimilar ERP system). Friction Welding experience will really make your resume stand out. Your willingness to take a hands-on approach, as well asyourunderstanding of interpreting data/trends willensure your success in this highly visible role. Utilizing your excellent presentation andbusiness skills to demonstrate the merits of your provenknowledge of quality improvements andinnovative ideas, you will bepositioning MTIfor further expansion in the marketplace andfuture growth.You not only have a knowledge and understanding of process improvements (friction joining process and metallurgical background are pluses), but you have also successfully integratedyourprocess background and troubleshooting expertiseintofully realizedprojects.
