DESCRIPTION

Salary is $13 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY:Employee would be responsible for running the admission window and concession window at Kennedy Water Playground and/or East Race Waterway. Employee is responsible for greeting customers, financial transactions and answering the phone.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Employees will be responsible for customer service, greeting and answering any questions put forth by the public.
  • Employees will be responsible for the set up and running of the register and registration system (Flybook) and concession stand.
  • Employees will be responsible for handling money, making change, credit card transactions, filling out the deposit slip and closing out of the register.
  • Employees will assist the lifeguards in enforcing the rules of the pool/park.
  • Employees will assist the lifeguards in an emergency.
  • Employees will be responsible for attending and participating in regular in-service training.
  • Employees will be responsible for completing incident reports or other records.

NON-ESSENTIAL/MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:Perform miscellaneous tasks as requested by the Aquatics and Ice Manager or East Race Supervisor

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 15 years of age.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with guests, employees and others.
  • Must possess basic math skills to balance daily deposits.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Be able to learn on the job

CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATION:First Aid/CPR/AED certification (can provide certification if needed)

EQUIPMENT:Telephone, cash register, iPad, calculator.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work well around the public in some extreme weather conditions (very hot, cold, or rainy)
  • Pool/East Race may have moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Employees work primarily in an outdoor environment in all types of weather conditions.
