ASM Global Events Intern in South Bend, Indiana

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following with oversight from Event Manager. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Meets with client’s groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and/or events.

  • Guide clients in preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies, and procedures.

  • Keeps clients informed as to status of deadlines schedules, including but not limited to floor plan submissions, meeting room set-ups to provide equipment or services needed.

  • Maintains close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events.

  • Follow-up on all client’s requests, concerns, and problems.

  • Assist with the preparation of the client’s final billing.

  • Supervise staff and oversee all aspects of facility operations related to events.

  • Follow SOP guidelines in all aspects of your position, this includes but is not limited to, generate Event Resume.

  • Other projects as assigned by Event Manager.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Junior or Senior in college majoring in Events Planning.

  • Understanding of basic of event requirements.

  • Proficiency in planning & organization.

    Skills and Abilities

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.

    Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of event booking and scheduling software, spreadsheet software and word processing software and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
