SOS International LLC Transportation and Logistics Manager (OCONUS) in Soto Cano AB, Honduras, Honduras

Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Transportation and Logistics Manager who will report to the Director of Logistics and will be responsible for the performance of the work of full contract matters relating to the daily base operations within this contract. The Transportation Manager will oversee the (IMD) Maintenance of Tactical/Non-Tactical vehicles/Equipment, (MCT) Movement Control Terminal, (TMP) Transportation Motor Pool and Retail Fuel and respond to any requests of Program leadership and perform any other duties as assigned by the Program leadership team at the Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras.

Essential Job Duties

  • This position is responsible for the supervision and management of all transportation, Maintenance and logistics activities required in the contract.

  • Through their oversight people in this position ensure functions such as:

  1. the base motor pool

  2. management of the NTV training and licensing program

  3. management and maintenance of the NTV fleet IAW AR 58-1

  4. management and execution of transshipments between conveyances as necessary

  5. use of DoD/Army AIS to assist in management and visibility of transportation-related issues

  6. establishment of staff liaison and sharing of data on container movement and retrograde of containers with the distribution management center (DMC) of the theater sustainment command

  • The Transportation Manager shall be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Public Trust.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing a Transportation Logistics and or a Maintenance Program or a bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics management from an accredited university with 4 years’ experience.

  • Valid U.S. driver's license and U.S. Passport.

  • Ability to function in an office setting, answer the phone, use office equipment, etc.

  • Strong communication skills and be capable of adjusting to the communication style appropriate for the audience.

  • Ability to listen and understand supported unit requirements.

  • Military or DOD Contractor Experience in Transportation Logistics and Maintenance programs.

  • Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Maintenance Management experience is Preferred.

  • Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment as required.

  • Country visa (as required) in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.

  • Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities and will work closely with COR’s and the Maintenance Chief.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.

  • This must possess strong management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications:

  • A person with a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) certificate issued by the International Society of Logistics (SOLE) is preferred.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is Preferred.

  • Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment.

  • Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum.

  • Employees must be able to endure extreme climate conditions and be able to work in an outdoor setting.
