Job Information

Global Incorporated TIG Welder in Somerset, Pennsylvania

  • Fit, Weld, and Visually Inspect (VT) according to shop order and WPS requirements.
  • Maintain X-ray (RT) quality cleanliness prior to, during and after welding.
  • Maintain log of all welded joints completed with relevant information to that joint.
  • Operate shop tools and equipment in a safe manner and maintain good shop cleanliness practices.
  • Qualify to multiple welding procedures and processes. Position will require X-ray (RT) acceptance for qualification.
  • Capable of welding alloys such as: Stellite, Monel, Inconel, Aluminum, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Haynes using GTAW.
  • Capable of giving precise attention to detail and be able to work methodically. Following instructions is essential.
  • Be open to working overtime when necessary.

OTHER DUTIES

· Identify problems, investigate the root-cause, and make recommendations for solutions

· Use verbal skills to communicate with co-workers and customers.

· Work independently with auditors during in-house, and external audits. Must maintain a calm, informed and respectful mind set when speaking with external individuals.

· Attend and participate in required meetings.

· Machining skills a plus.

· Assist with maintaining shop cleanliness

· Become familiar with Welding and Inspection Technical Publications (TP 248, 278, 271, MIL-STD-2035
