VWR INTERNATIONAL, LLC Operator, Reagent Processing in Solon, Ohio

The Opportunity: Avantor is looking for an Operator (Reagent/Chemical Processing) to utilize automated equipment to prepare, setup, weigh, package, fill and label product in compliance with customer requirements and safety guidelines. This role will be a full-time position based out of our Solon, Ohio office. Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm What we're looking for: Education: High School completion or equivalent (GED); college degree preferred. Experience: 1-2 years applicable experience in chemical manufacturing preferred. Experience in maintenance or operating/troubleshooting equipment preferred. Some mechanical ability preferred. Additional Qualifications: Able to work within a team daily Critical thinker, self starter, detail oriented and good time management skills. Ability to adhere to all safety/security measures. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot and complete minor equipment repairs. How you will thrive and create an impact: Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations; maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition. Utilize proper personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, gloves, respirators, dust masks, safety glasses, hairnets, steel toe shoes, lab coats, sleeves, shoe covers, and jumpsuits. Utilize Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Material Handling Sheets consistently when coming in contact with chemical material. Process assigned orders per manufacturing order, efficiently, error-free and in compliance with safety and FDA/ISO guidelines. Understand the various machinery used and how to properly program equipment for manufacturing product. Demonstrate how to change over and complete minor troubleshooting on equipment. Thoroughly and accurately complete paperwork regarding the processing of chemical material. Verify labels of all materials used in the manufacturing process. Dispose of labelled containers as instructed and controlled by Regulatory Affairs. Clean utensils and equipment as required by company guidelines and work instructions. Complete required reports and records including, but not limited to, area cleaning logs, equipment logs, and balance logs. Detect and report faulty equipment, suspicious materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions to the appropriate individuals. Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials. Set-up, operate, clean and maintain the following equipment: HMI for water system, Check Weigher, Bottle Unscrambler, Re-Torquer, Bottle Orienter, Drop Packer, Filling Station, Taper, Capper/Torquer, Palletizer, Labeler, Autoclave, and other equipment as required. Maintain a clean work environment, including surrounding areas and equipment, as governed by cleaning and equipment guidelines and logbooks. Organize and maintain PPE & other equipment as necessary.
