Description

Job purpose

Perform all aspects of tasks associated with inside sales of products and services that meet the requirements of WPI customers.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Take customer orders or quotes by phone, fax, e-mail, or walk-in
  • Analyze orders for accuracy, cross reference by serial number, enter orders in to WPI system
  • Quote overhauls and spares as required
  • Assist in keeping work area neat and clean
  • Receive stock orders into system
  • Assist in updating files, books and customer information
  • Available for callout after 6 months from hire
  • Receive emergency orders from vendors and update customer orders
  • Attend training classes to increase product knowledge
  • File warranty claims with vendors
  • Coordinate returns to vendors with shipping department
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years of previous experience
  • Must High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some mechanical background or knowledge preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company
  • Must have ability to maintain confidential information
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in a Windows based environment
  • Must be dependable and work independent
  • Must maintain good client relations
  • Must have the ability to effectively operate various types of office equipment (fax, scanner, printer copier, etc.)
  • Must have the ability to effectively operate forklift
