Job role

To effectively manage and lead strategic projects for ICON Language Services to improve efficiencies, reduce cost and turnaround times as well improve language and service quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply suitable project management techniques to control progress and intervening as necessary to ensure all targets are met.

  • Build as well as maintain project plans & progress tracking tools to support in planning, progress tracking, and decision making.

  • Manage project meetings, record actions & decisions, raise challenges, dependencies, risks, and opportunities as well as identify, gather, and document requirements.

  • Analyse, evaluate, and manage project risks, being proactive in achieving mitigation strategies and actions as well as supporting the analysis of scenarios and challenge solutions to validate project results meet the requirements.

  • Coordinate a change management plan in partnership with leadership and the project team and provide a strong project management methodology and adhere to project compliance standards.

  • Proactively manage key partners across the department and the company ensuring timely and regular engagement as well as monitoring project activities, track achievements, and distribute information including critical metrics to partners.

  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and partner with multiple project teams to ensure project goals are reached. Find opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

  • Support the transformation and implementing change across ICON Language Services.

  • Drive the process of analysis and estimation within the ICON Language Services teams to provide a plan.

  • Carry out analysis of processes and identifying areas which can offer return on investment.

  • Aid in building the business cases showing clear business benefit from process flow changes.

  • Identify and evaluate alternative solutions to meet business requirements and processes.

  • Support management with identifying technology roadmap priorities to ensure development work is prioritised.

  • Work effectively with senior leaders and functional teams to ensure success of ICON Language Services and our strategic development plans.

Skills:

  • Language Services Management experience

  • Ability to

  • Collate and summarise technical information and make decisions based upon data analysis.

  • Build and develop internal relationships to achieve work objectives for the benefit of the company.

  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and at all levels.

  • See the “bigger picture” and to recognise the needs of the role, and how these fits in with the needs of the business in general.

  • Highly driven, ensuring that the job is done well and recognising the importance of customer satisfaction in their work.

  • Highly experienced in change management projects or strategic program or project management

  • Good understanding of continuous improvement process, lean management methodologies

  • Knowledge of and experience in working with project, change and quality management methodologies (such as Agile, Kanban, Prince 2, PMI, ADKAR, AIDA, Kaizen and/or Six Sigma).Strong management skills, collaborative style, ability to build trust, drive change and empower teams to deliver successfully.

  • Has a logical and methodical approach to running projects, problem solving and risk and issue management.

  • University degree in Business Management or a similar field of study
