Quickbase Senior Software Engineer | Python in Sofia, Bulgaria

As a Senior Python engineer, you have an excellent understanding of what great software looks like. You are keen on learning new things, solving complex problems, growing, and helping your team. You can work independently as well as cross-functionally and can communicate technical concepts clearly to your colleagues as well as non-technical stakeholders.

What will you be doing

  • Lead or participate in the design, architecture, and development of critical components

  • Help scale Python services to millions of executions and improve our load balancers, service startup time, execution algorithms, observability and recovery

  • Work with Product Managers, QA, and other Engineers to define technical requirements, break down tasks, and prioritize development efforts

  • Mentor and guide Engineers, providing technical expertise, and constructive feedback to maintain high coding standards

  • Actively identify opportunities for system optimization, performance improvements, and code refactoring, ensuring the scalability and robustness of the product

    Skills and experience you possess:

  • You have solid experience with any of the programming languages Python, Java, C#, JavaScript (we use Python)

  • You have strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • You have a solid understanding of what great software looks like: unit testing, fault tolerance, data structures, object-oriented principles, design patterns, etc

  • You have a solid understanding of SQL, CI/CD technology, and cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP

  • You are a lifelong learner, stay current with industry trends, and discover new ways to improve

  • You are customer obsessed and derive job satisfaction from delighting people with products you build

  • You are proficient in English both verbal and written
