P A D Transportation LLC Truck Port Driver in Snellville, Georgia

Looking for a CDL CLASS A Driver (container) to join our P A D team!

This is a regular, full-time position (Mon - Fri schedule range) - Must be able to successfully pass MVR, drug and other pre-employment requirements.

Driver Responsibilities:

  • Deliver containers to and from the port and/or rails to customers/receivers.
  • You must be hard-working, team-oriented, time management, communication skills, friendly, honest, and have great customer service skills.
  • Responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods and other articles of trade to our customers.
  • You will be tasked with driving and maintaining a company assigned truck (sleeper) as well as working closely with our personal dispatcher in order to plan routes and track deliveries.
  • Managing proof of delivery paperwork from customers and port.
  • Follow all Traffic Laws
  • Report to your Dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road that may slow you down.
  • Inspect the truck and trailer before and after the trip, and record/report any defects found.
  • Keep the truck clean and in good working order.
  • Take the required break during trips.
  • Reporting any mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: Up to $1,000 - $1,500 per week

Trucking home time: Varies - Home every weekend. Depending on work load and route scheduled - May be required to sleep OTR or may sleep at home and have an early start to work.

Must have:

  • Valid CDL
  • Age 23 years or older
  • A 2-3 year's commercial driving experience
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record (specific requirements may vary)
  • Must pass drug and other pre-employment requirements
  • Must have TWIC and PORT card - (If not we will be able to help obtain one for you
  • Hazmat Endorsement (If not we will guide you on how to obtain one)
