Yates Services, LLC Forklift/Tug Operator - Material Handler in Smyrna, Tennessee

Material Handler position in a fast-paced warehouse operation supporting just-in-time delivery for an automotive manufacturing facility. Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience operating various types of forklift and tug material handling equipment. Prefer a self-starter who is hardworking, highly motivated and able to work under little supervision. Prefer an excellent communicator who is able to follow directions efficiently and provide feedback in a timely manner. You must have some basic computer skills. We are a highly customer-focused organization, and overtime is required to meet business needs as a result. Multiple locations and shifts available.

Job Responsibilities include:
  • Load and unload freight using equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Move product to warehouse and/or production line areas with proper equipment.
  • Efficiently stack and store material in designated area.
  • Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and repacking.
  • Able to meet production standards.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work environment.
  • Perform duties outside of normal responsibilities, as needed.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and meet deadlines.
  • Comply with OSHA standards and report all safety malfunctions on equipment and any unsafe conditions.
  • Have some basic computer skills.
Additional Requirements:
  • Available to work any shift to possibly include weekends.
  • Speak, read and write fluent English
  • Have a verifiable stable work history
  • Successfully complete chemical screen and thorough background checks to include criminal history and work history
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Hard-working with the ability to stay focused and pay attention to detail
  • Safety conscious and able to work well with others

Full benefits available the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. Paid weekly. Progressive wage increases every 6 months until a top-out rate is reached. REQUIREMENTS: MUST have two valid forms of ID; one required to be a photo ID. Only apply if you have NOT interviewed within the past 6 months. EOE.
