Job Details The Speech Language Pathologist provides inpatient acute care services and is a vital member of a multidisciplinary team providing advanced, high quality healthcare. This position includes evaluation and treatment of children and adults mostly in the inpatient setting however, coverage in outpatient settings may be required occasionally. Responsibilities: Evaluates clients/patients and determines causal factors for speech, language and/or hearing impairments; gathers data related to patient's communication disorder, selects appropriate evaluation tool(s) for the purpose of assessment. Administers diagnostic testing procedures to determine the extent of the patient's impairment and the prognosis for improvement. Develops individualized treatment programs for patients diagnosed as needing speech and language intervention. Develops and maintains long and short term treatment objectives for each patient. Re-evaluates and modifies treatment programs as warranted. Areas addressed include articulation, voice, fluency, receptive and expressive language skills, oral motor competence, dysphagia and auditory skills. Requirements: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech and Language from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. New York State license and registration in Speech-Language Pathology required. MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) required Previous experience with adult neurologic population is preferred. Salary Range USD $61.48 - USD $61.48 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
