This role has primary responsibility to Direct, plan, organize, and control operations of the Smithfield manufacturing plant to achieve maximum profitability of the business in line with CA strategic and annual operating plans.

Your responsibilities:

  • Comply with all environmental & health and safety federal, state, local regulations, and company policies.

  • Planning and controlling all aspects of the operation to meet the objectives put forth in line with CA strategic and annual operating plans.

  • Focusing on shorter-term goals, such as the evaluation of plant’s capital needs, performance improvement on delivery, quality, cost productivity, performance to plan, environmental health & safety and capacity utilization.

  • Focusing on longer-term goals including capacity planning and formulation, planning and implementation of strategies to lead the location in maintaining and improving Smithfield’s competitiveness.

  • Leading the effort to secure and maintain business and industry standard certifications such as IATF and ISO14001.

  • Ensuring total adherence to quality standards, procedures and processes so that the business meets all requirements for customer acceptance.

  • Taking on any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Requirements for the role:

  • Business and/or Engineering degree

  • Understanding of financial and operational performance data

  • Experience in the use of continuous improvement tools and principles

  • Demonstrated and substantiated job performance background with very significant experience

Desired competencies to have.

  • Knowledge of Automotive manufacturing quality requirements such as IATF

  • Master’s in business administration (MBA)
