Program Summary

KBR proudly serves as the performance-based contractor for Base Operations Services at the Aegis Ashore Missile Defence System in Naval Support Facility (NSF) Redzikowo, Poland. This program focuses on the deployment and operational management of the sophisticated Aegis system, designed to intercept, and neutralize short- and medium-range ballistic missiles. Our primary mission is to ensure seamless base operations, directly enhancing strategic defence capabilities.

NSF Redzikowo, housing the second Aegis Ashore system, plays a crucial role in NATO's defence against missile threats. Commissioned in September, the facility emphasizes our commitment to supporting key military infrastructures. Its strategic location northwest of Warsaw, near the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, positions it strategically in European defence.

Our involvement in NSF Redzikowo includes comprehensive Base Operations Services, showcasing KBR's expertise in managing complex military facilities. The base incorporates essential infrastructure, such as administrative offices, housing, dining facilities, security buildings, and athletic facilities—all maintained to the highest standards.

Job Summary

Dispatchers at our 24-hour facility handle radio and telephone duties, processing and prioritizing calls for police, fire, and EMS assistance. They receive and assess emergency calls, determine nature and location, and dispatch units accordingly. Responsibilities include managing 911 calls, maintaining unit contact, monitoring alarms, and handling non-emergency calls. Dispatchers operate various communication equipment, perform data tasks, and monitor public safety radio frequencies. This role requires fluency in English, computer skills, and the ability to communicate effectively via phone and radio. Candidates must multitask, follow instructions, and make sound decisions under stress. Shift work is involved, and obtaining a Common Access Card (CAC) and Military Email is required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of radio and telephone operational duties in a 24-hour facility.

  • Process and prioritize incoming calls for police, fire, and EMS assistance.

  • Receive emergency calls from the public requesting police, fire, medical, or other emergency services.

  • Determine the nature and location of emergencies, establish priorities, and dispatch appropriate units following established procedures.

  • Maintain contact with all units on assignment and track the status and location of police, fire, and EMS units.

  • Monitor direct emergency alarms and respond to non-emergency calls for assistance.

  • Enter, update, and retrieve information from various computer systems.

  • Perform tasks related to data retrieval, data entry, and word processing.

  • Communicate fluently in English, both in writing and verbally.

  • Multitask with radio and phone communications.

  • Follow basic instructions and use sound judgment to make decisions under stress.

  • Work alternating hours and shift schedules.

Basic Qualifications

  • US Citizenship

  • Must be fluent in English

  • Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

  • Must possess driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity

  • Must obtain and maintain an International Driving Permit

  • Must possess security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • DoD, IFSAC, or ProBoard Telecommunicator I & II

  • DoD, IFSAC, or ProBoard HAZMAT Awareness

  • FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800

  • Emergency Medical Dispatcher Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working in a Fire and Emergency Services dispatch or other emergency dispatch role
