Labcorp Onsite Lab Support Clerk- Part Time in Skokie, Illinois

LabCorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Skokie, IL. The position, Reference Test Clerk, will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 12:00pm – 4:00pm in Skokie, rotating Saturdays 9:30am - 1:30pm in Harwood Heights

Job Responsibilities:

· Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

· Communicate effectively with client office staff

· Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems

· Meet department activity and production goals

· Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner 

· Accurately identify and label specimens 

· Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities 

Requirements:

This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Subject to applicable law, all prospective hires will need to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for medical or religious accommodations.

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· No relative experience required; 1-2 years preferred 

· Previous medical or production experience is a plus

· Comfortable handling biological specimens 

· Ability to accurately identify specimens 

· Experience working in a team environment 

· Strong data entry and organizational skills

· High level of attention to detail

· Proficient in MS Office 

· Ability to lift up to 40lbs.

· Ability to pass a standardized color blind test
