Job Summary:

This position provides support for Technical Services, Production, Graphics, Project Management, Quality Assurance and ultimately the customer by continuously evaluating and improving manufacturing methods, while utilizing knowledge of product design, material and parts, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, configure and optimize print and converting processes from inception through documentation.
  • Continuous analysis for the optimization of utilization of work force, work space, and equipment
  • Help to develop, collect and visualize key metrics to ensure implemented measures are effective.
  • Analyze and assess existing processes by taking measurements, collecting and interpreting relevant data and with the team.
  • Develop and validate best practice.
  • Document best practice through the development of single point lessons, videos, and other training materials.
  • Help create, implement and organize ongoing training of best practices.
  • Train team members against best practice in concise class-room sessions and document training records
  • Verify efficiency of training through short tests and ongoing capability testing on the job.
  • Maintain Facility Permits, VOC, Haz-Mat and Toxic Chemical Release reporting
  • Assist the VP Technology in assessing current equipment for safety, ease of operation, functionality, maintenance friendliness and cost.
  • Assist the VP of Technology to come up with optimized specifications for future equipment purchases.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to trouble-shoot, solve complex problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where standard and non-standard issues exist
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide a positive work environment
  • High ability to be self-driven to recognize and accomplish projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed documents and possess a technical understanding of drawings
  • Ability to appropriately apply principles and concepts to area of specialization
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Skilled in time management and prioritization
  • AutoCAD knowledge preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and other systems as required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Technical, Mechanical or Process Engineering or related field

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly communicate in some manner either by speech/ hearing or through written communication.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk and sit.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
