    Job Summary

    The MRI Radiologic Technologist is responsible for operating MRI equipment to make clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and procedures.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or hospital based Radiologic Technology Program required.

  • Minimum of two years of training/experience in MRI preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices and procedures, physiology and human anatomy required.

    Certification/Licensure/Registrations

  • ARRT (R) registered required. If not registered, registration is required within 60 days of receiving a certificate of completion from an accredited School of Radiology.

  • ARRT (MR) Registry preferred.

    Work Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts - day, with a limited evening and night shift schedule rotation. 5th weekend, one holiday per year.

  • Occasional shift at Avera Specialty Hospital. Rotate within Avera MR facilities variety of procedures and workplace environment.

  • 72 hours per 2 weeks/full time benefits eligible. Work-life balance.

    Pay

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $28.75 - $43.50 per hour
