OLM Food Solutions is taking applications for an IT Systems Administrator . This is a full-time, onsite position in our Sioux Falls, SD location.

Organized, innovative, next-level customer service, & highly skilled are all traits of this valued team leader. Responsible for design, implementation, maintenance, and support of a growing corporation’s hybrid data center with multiple physical locations.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain internal system and application efficiency.

  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.

  • Ensure the design of applications/systems allows all components to work correctly together.

  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users.

  • Make recommendations for future upgrades.

  • Maintain network and system security.

  • Analyzing system logs, identifying potential issues with systems, and implementing improvements.

  • Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.

  • Evaluate and modify the system's performance.

  • Identify user needs.

  • Maintain the integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.

  • Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.

  • Design and deploy networks.

  • Perform network address assignment.

  • Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.

  • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.

  • Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers and printers.

  • Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, SSL certs, intrusion detection systems.

  • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.

  • Network security using internal and external services (e.g., penetration & vulnerability scanning)

Required Qualifications:

• Education and Experience - Associate degree in Computer Science or Business Administration; and/or two years’ related network/system admin experience and training.

• Communication/Leadership Skills - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are necessary. The ability to read and understand documents, simple instructions, and product labels.

• Mathematical Skills - Strong analytical skills to calculate figures and amounts and perform essential math functions.

• Reasoning Abilities - The ability to interpret various technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong analytical skills with the ability to find opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Administration of M365 licensing, GPO creation, & Microsoft product family.

• Advanced knowledge of IP (Internet Protocol) networking, CLI or PowerShell scripting, LAN/WAN routing, switching, VLAN segmentation, VPN tunneling, and advanced Firewalls.

• Knowledge and experience working with Linux distros and tools (e.g., Ubuntu, Nginx, etc.) is a plus.

• Experience with server virtualization technologies such as VMWare Server/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtual Server and working with public cloud technology (e.g., Azure, AWS) a plus.
