Resources for Human Development (RHD) - one of the Nation's leading support services organizations - is seeking care-focused individuals to fill the role of Direct Support Professionals in the Sioux Falls area.
RHD South Dakota is looking for a full time Direct Support Professional to provide support to individuals whom we serve in our Residential Services. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. DSP's must be enthusiastic, reliable, and person-centered people who are passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities to attain the highest level of independence possible, having meaningful relationships and lives they choose. The DSP must be able to address the dynamic ever changing needs of the people they support and promote a climate of compassion, understanding and realization of people's dreams.
This schedule is for WP home, and rotating as follows:
Week 1: Monday 8pm-8am, Thursday 12am-8am AND 8pm-8am
Week 2: Monday 8pm-8am, Wednesday 12am-8pm, Friday 8pm-8am, Saturday 8pm-8am

Sign-On Bonus:
RHD South Dakota is offering HIRING BONUSES for the open positions! A $500 hiring bonus for Direct Support employees to be distributed in two parts during the first three months of employment. Part one-Following the successful completion of New Hire Orientation hiring bonus will be processed for the employee. The Direct Support Professional will receive $250 gross. Part two-Following the initial 90 days of successful and continuous employment as a Direct Support Professional, a second hiring bonus will be processed for the employee. The Direct Support Professional will receive $250 gross.
Responsibilities/Duties
-Provide supervision of individuals in accordance with the person-centered ISP. Supporting someone to work towards outcomes identified in ISP and other Person -Centered Support Plans
-Complete required documentation
-Administer Medication
-Provide transportation to consumers
-Support consumers in activities of daily living, meal prep, toileting, hygiene, etc.
-Community Integration Activities and access to community Supports--med appointments, social security
Required Experience
Prior experience in the human service field is preferred.
Required Education
-High School diploma or GED is required.
-Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Required Qualifications
Pass a background check
Basic computer skills are required.
Valid South Dakota driver's license.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Program Summary
