Job Summary

The Room Service Ambassador coordinates the daily operations between production, non-production, and patient areas of the department. This position also assists the department in the clerical aspects of patient meal service through monitoring diet orders, accurate menu processing, and assisting patients with menu selections. The Room Service Ambassador will provide excellent customer service when assisting patients with meal ordering, delivering meals and snacks, and acting as a liaison to other departments regarding patient meal services. In addition, the RSA will monitor diet orders, record intakes, and prepare simple food items.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Experience in food service or in a related customer service field preferred.

  • Related experience or education demonstrating knowledge of normal, therapeutic and modified diets.

Work Schedule

  • Varied Shifts, PRN (as needed) 6:15am-2:00pm, 4:00pm-8:00pm and 6:15am-7:15pm

  • Every 3rd weekend

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $17.50 - $21.25 per hour
