About the role

This position is for a Supplier Quality Engineer, who lead and collaborate to drive quality performance that improves business results. Steward supplier qualification / certification, assessment, statistical monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes with knowledge and explanations of Supplier Quality & Compliance practices and procedures to uphold solid quality management system.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Stewards supplier qualification / certification, assessment, statistical monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes to uphold solid quality management system.

  • Reviews and makes recommendations on quality data and drives development of part / supplier specific quality issue resolution to uphold excellent product quality.

  • Drives root cause analysis & problem solving (Red-X & 8D) in escape management procedures. Makes recommendations to systemic improvements over product and process design or control of suppliers for robust DFMEA and/or PFMEA .

  • Executes processes and procedures for supplier qualification / certification, source inspection and material release processes, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance, and Corrective Action Boards / Quality Clinics with suppliers.

  • Ensure supplier is capable to meet all requirements for process change management as well as any other applicable projects.

  • Align activities to support Carrier Supplier Excellence program to ensure sustainable continuous improvement.

  • Develops and executes action plans that drive quality performance and improve business results.

  • Develops supplier quality strategies and to collaborate with others to improve supplier quality performances.

Requirements

We are looking for people who possesses excellent communication skills and has good stakeholder management. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Minimum Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or any related fields.

  • ​A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience.

  • knowledge in ISO, APQP, PPAP & SPC preferred.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
