Division Specific Information

Our Materials and Structural Analysis business helps customers drive cutting-edge research and discoveries by delivering innovative microscopy, spectroscopy, and microanalysis solutions, such as world-class scanning and transmission electron microscopes, DualBeam™ FIB-SEMs, and spectrometers, combined with advanced software suites. We span across the business areas of spectroscopy, visualization software, semiconductor, life sciences, and material sciences, as well as global support functions like commercial sales, service, operations, research and development, advanced technologies, and marketing.

Senior Account Manager is in charge of leading a team of sales account mangers who sell materials and Structural Analysis Division Electron Microscopy (MSD-EM) products to semiconductor customers in South East Asia (SEA). This role is accountable for ensuring the team has effective customer relations, develops opportunities for growth, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales target. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced people leader who enjoys completing account planning and forecasting, analyzing reports on business, and handling performance of the team!

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage customers mainly in Singapore and other selective region in SEA, e.g Malaysia.

  • Develop and execute sales opportunities. Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives;

  • Use available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with Business Unit owners, Application team and Service teams.

  • Perform sales activities with good relations with all existing and new customers in assigned regions

  • Aware of competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan;

  • Understanding of PFA/EFA system basic configurations, specifications and acceptance conditions are appropriated

  • Manage ‘roadmap to PO’ using structured selling approaches such as Miller-Heiman and ensure to follow compliance regulations strictly

  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files vital for proper management of region

  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations

Keys to Success:

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in relevant technical or business domain

Experience

  • 8+ years of sales experience in semiconductor or related industry

  • Proven sales record and customer relations

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Good knowledge of the Semiconductor industry, and/or electron optics and the application fields

  • Demonstrated ability to develop deep customer relationships and credibility, to gain insight into customers’ requirements

  • Demonstrate sophisticate interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Able and willing to travel to customer locations
