Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Operations performance including manpower, resources, process, and product.

  • Lead the operations team of 15-20 Technicians and Workshop Engineers in Inspection, Clean and NDT or back-shop repair function.

  • Achieve the operational targets such as Turnabout Time (TAT), On-time Delivery (OTD), productivity, quality, and financial commits.

  • Review staffing and training needed including performance, salary, and career appraisal as well as hiring, retaining, and developing talents.

  • Provide effective communication across the cells, leadership development and performance feedback to the shop floor employees.

  • Execute Smart Factory implementation and drive transformation & enhancement within the cell.

  • Interface with other departments in Engineering, Quality, Finance, Customer Service, HR & Materials to achieve cell goals & company objectives.

  • Participate in audits and inspections as and when required.

  • Lead productivity and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) projects to reduce cost, improve quality and cycle time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant engineering qualifications.

  • 5 years of relevant Aerospace MRO experience in operations, production, or manufacturing.

  • Good people management skill to manage and motivate a team to achieve business goals.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

  • Process and detail-oriented with problem solving skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP system.

  • Lean manufacturing or repair experience with a continuous improvement mindset is a plus.

  • Knowledge of aircraft engine workshop practices and/or engine MRO is a plus.
