WTW Senior Associate - Health and Benefits in Singapore, Singapore

The Role

  • Responsible for managing customer relationships in the area of health& benefits

  • Define the scope of the methodology and proposal preparation and consulting contracts.

  • Project management of complex clients, guaranteeing delivery on time, within budget and with high quality

  • Manage H&B vendor renewals and negotiations

  • Design efficient plan designs and funding arrangements that fit client goals

  • Know the national and local H&B vendor marketplaces and leverage that knowledge on clients’ behalf

  • Demonstrate proficient writing, oral presentation skills in client reports, recommendations, and presentations

  • Provide periodic reports informing the performance of the medical plan, including loss ratio, frequency of the use, member profile, etc.

  • Provide annual benchmarking comparison relating to H&B clients

  • Analysis about the advantages and disadvantages of the plan funding model (insured or self-insured); development of performance indicators for monitoring results

  • Legislative updates: communicate Human Resources team any changes in local laws related to group life insurance, medical and dental benefits; and potential direct and/or indirect impacts on the company’s current benefits programs

  • Risk profile of the population: analysis of the epidemiological profile of the population (if such data is available) so as to provide support in decisions concerning health management and potential costs

The Requirements

  • Meet requirements of the following including: M5, M9, HI, ComGI

  • 5+ years’ experience dealing with the financials of health and group benefit plans, ideally gained in a group benefit consulting/brokerage firm or group health underwriting or actuarialfunction of an insurance company;additional experience with life/disability plans desired

  • Proven experience successfully managing projects and producing qualitydeliverables on time and within budget

  • Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues;strong client service orientation

  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with a strongfocus on customerservice

  • Technical proficiency in multiple H&Bpractice disciplines

  • Broad understanding of compliance issues related to local legislation

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to ask the right questions and seek help where appropriate

  • Ability to respondto all communications effectively and in a timely manner

  • Deep knowledge of national and local H&Bvendor marketplaces

  • Ability to work both independently and on clientteams and enjoy afast-paced environment

  • Sense of accountability; owning one’s work and taking pride in it

  • Self-starter: interest in continually challenging oneself and willingness to step outside of one’s comfort zone

  • Interest and ability to think beyond the task at hand and understand how one’s work fits into the broader landscape
