Description:

Our new Senior Accountant will be responsible for many aspects of financial activities ranging from:

  • Application of the US and local GAAP’s

  • Accounting transactions

  • The monthly financial close, including hands on preparation of journal entries

  • Analytical review

  • Finance operations improvement

  • Balance sheet account reconciliation in a fast-paced, non-traditional, multi-country and multi-currency rapid growth environment across JAPAC

  • In addition, you will interact with our external auditors to ensure annual audits are completed on time

Responsibilities:

  • Part of the team that takes charge of the APAC and JAPAN GL operations, including payroll and commission

  • Responsible for monthly close activities including preparing of journal entries, with full SOX compliance

  • Ensure and lead the timely completion of all general ledger account reconciliation, with full SOX compliance

  • Prepare monthly P&L and balance sheet flux analyses for management reporting

  • Ensure compliance of the US and local GAAP accounting and provide accounting guidance to the team and the finance organization within the company

  • Drive communication and coordination with the US HQ Finance, other functions/regions to ensure compliance of Corporate policies

  • Assist in annual audit with the external auditors and ensure local statutory audits are completed on time

  • Proactively identify and lead improvement opportunities and drive global/regional finance initiatives to enhance trust and operational efficiency

Background:

  • CPA/ Degree in Accounting

  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience, with at least 3 years in Public Accounting

  • Experience in payroll and commission preferred

  • Broad experience in local and regional GL accounting

  • Strong understanding of US and local GAAP for JAPAC

  • Experienced in Oracle multi-currency and multi-country ledgers

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent IT skills especially in Excel and Powerpoint
