Dell Quality Engineer (Displays and Peripherals) in Singapore, Singapore
The Quality Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement in the quality of Dell Display and Peripherals. He/She will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supplier Quality and Product Support to ensure that Dell delivers high quality products and processes to customers. Additional responsibilities include ensuring quality goals and performance measurements meet/exceed our customer expectations.
Manage activities that are required to ensure product quality goals are met, with collaboration from Voice of Customer (VOC), 5-Star/Social Media, Sustaining Quality Engineering, Development Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing & Procurement
Drive investigation, customer field captures, root cause failure analysis, containment, corrective actions and process improvements to prevent issue recurrence
Manage systemic issues that span one or more Products and influence quick containment in the Supplier and sub-tier supplier manufacturing processes
Utilize product and process lessons learned to drive preventative actions and improvement plans
Drive continuous improvements in Display and Peripheral performance metrics
Manage product service readiness throughout the product lifecycle from launch to End of Service Life.
Familiar with product life cycle management, from concept, define, plan through develop, launch and sustaining to End of Life (EOL)
Work experience in factory or quality discipline and familiar with quality control methods and problem-solving tools like DFMEA and CLCA.
Strong project management and communication skills
Degree qualifications Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
Work experience in Display industry
Six-Sigma experience and certification
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
