This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 2-3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.

ABOUT THE ROLE The Operations Analyst role is responsible for supporting the Australian and APAC activity related to Parametric's growing equity, separately managed account (SMA) and institutional business. Responsibilities for this position will be cross-functional, including trade settlements, corporate actions, and operational support.

The candidate should be a dedicated, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual, with a thirst to learn. They will develop a passion for the asset management industry and its role in delivering appropriate outcomes to investors. The candidate will be one who seeks a long-term career based around forming genuine, respectful relationships, internally and externally.

Also note, that overtime may be required depending on market and coverage needs within the APAC region. This role may also be responsible for non-operational tasks to support other areas due to time zone needs. The ideal applicant will be able to thrive in an independent setting, where reporting line and colleagues are located in the United States, physically distant and in a different time zone. The ability to prioritize work, hit deadlines, and clearly escalate when issues arise is paramount.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide operational support for Australian placements, entitlements, and initial public offerings. This includes receiving notices about eligibility, coordinating communication and workflow across portfolio managers, traders, and brokers, and ultimately submitting documentation to receive shares of securities in client portfolios. - Responsible for the entire post trade execution process for the APAC region, including transmission of trades to counterparties, matching/confirmation/affirmation of trades, resolution of exceptions. Focus will be on sensitive or short settlement cycle markets including China-A and India. - Work with Morgan Stanley compliance and risk based out of the APAC region when questions arise on positions and transactions at Parametric. Have a broad understanding of transactions, new accounts, position transfers, and other entries that impact portfolio holdings and compliance related questions. - Act as the primary point of contact for the Operations department in the APAC region for other functions, to include compliance, risk, and operational oversight. This responsibility includes recurring tasks, as well as ad hoc escalation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

– 3 years direct applicable work experience

– Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, Mathematics).

– Experience working with Corporate Actions, Trade Settlements, and other back office operational roles.

– Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and effectively manage multiple tasks.

– Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to deliver clear, effective communication and takes responsibility for understanding others.

– Displays high attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness and thoughtfulness. Commitment to meeting identified quality and efficiency standards.

– Knowledge of APX, Omgeo Alert, Omgeo CTM, and / or SWIFT messaging preferred
