Job Description Summary

Key accountabilities for source substantiation, repair development, non-conformance reviews and disposition, corrective action & complaint handling, paperwork reviews & maintenance, product technical support/enquiry, tech coordination with Special Process, process improvement and Lean engagement for the assigned product line/process and undertake tasks as assigned by immediate Manager.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design/develop/substantiate/implement new repairs

  • Ensure internal shop documents are kept current with the latest repair documents and flow changes to appropriate personnel

  • Generate, change/update OP sheets, routers

  • Track or collect data on yield and identify opportunities to improve yield; conduct new material tryouts; review process for improvements.

  • Conduct salvation reviews

  • Raise and follow thru with Departure Records approval, work with REDO or GEAE engineers to enhance tech issue resolution process

  • Provide work scope for customers, draft responses to customers’ queries

  • Investigate and answer QPR/CARs

  • Where applicable, act as subject matter expert to design and develop appropriate OJT for shop CRTs

  • Engagement in Lean, bullet train activities; lead cluster activities.

  • Support quality improvement, business productivity and cost efficiency drive efforts.

  • Plan and manage product transition related activities

  • Ensure proper technical qualifications are completed for either transitions in or out of GEAESS.

  • Customer interface; know customer requirements.

  • Conduct Risk Assessments and ensure that relevant processes are operated in compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety Regulations and Policies.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
