DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

The intern will work for Marriott’s Human Resources Operations team based in the Singapore office to support in delivering HR related services, specifically on Talent Acquisition and Talent Management, to the management and associates of operational and pre-opening properties within the Asia Pacific Excluding China (APEC) region.

The HR Operations, APEC oversees the overall functions of Human Resources at property level including HR programs, systems and practices in Marriott, Asia Pacific. The intern will work closely with the HR Operations and Talent Acquisition and Management Solutions (TAMS) team. The nature of work will entail supporting the team in both TAMS project management and initiatives/activities to drive operational HR excellence in properties across the region. As part of the team, the intern will also be fully involved in daily HR operational tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support HR Ops team to roll out Talent Acquisition and Management Solutions initiatives, policies and guidelines within APEC

  • Support area champions in driving Recruitment, Human Capital, Employer Branding, and College Relations initiatives in APEC

  • Support General Managers and HR leaders in new build and transitions (NBT/pre-opening) activities to ensure Marriott’s TAMS programs, practices, systems and policies are in placed & executed in the property

  • Having full oversight and provide guidance on Marriott’s online HR system and database to maintain accuracy and adherence of our recruitment and human capital process

  • Support internal HR communications on webinar sessions, developing manuals, creating presentations and generating reports

  • Analyze data and metrics on to propose recommendations and drive project targets

  • Research latest HR trends on sourcing methods and technology

  • Organize and participate in regional office associate events

  • Support HR Ops team on various projects and assignments as assigned

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

We are looking for university student who is passionate, committed and keen to establish a career in the Human Resources discipline with the following attributes:

  • Ability to learn quickly and excel in a fast-paced and action-biased environment

  • Detailed-oriented, structured, and organized

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)

  • Excellent Analytical and Numeracy Skills

QUALIFICATION STANDARD

Education:

Undergraduate in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Management, Economics or Marketing preferred

Requirements:

Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday pass

Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / uundergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States.

Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship
