Industrial Network Consultant

With our complete range of solutions for industrial networking, we help customers to lay an optimal foundation for Digitalization and accompany them from the very start as they navigate the digital transformation.

Our offering of industrial network solutions for reliable and efficient interaction between OT and IT networks follows a comprehensive approach. In addition to network components and software products, it also includes network consulting and training courses.

The main job scope is to provide Expert Technical consulting for our sales force, Solution partners and Customers projects with our Siemens Network products portfolio.

You will make a difference by:

  • Designing and specification of solutions for industrial networks ( Wired & Wireless ) based on Industrial Ethernet.

  • Presales Consulting for LAN/Security and Industrial network/security configurations, based on Siemens products (SCALANCE / RUGGEDCOM)

  • Presales Network consulting for industries e.g. Factory automation and Process automation, Transportation, Infrastructure and other verticals.

  • Elaboration of specific solution concepts for applications within the focus markets, as well as new markets and applications

  • Support of sales team stages through application analysis and site surveys as well as recommendation of products suitable for proposed solution, etc.

  • Training of internal and external partners

  • Developing content for white papers and technical presentations

  • Creating of references for valuable customer applications

  • Support selected Key Accounts

Your success is grounded in:

  • University degree in Telecommunication or IT engineering

  • 3–5 year experience as Network and Security engineer/consultant for larger networks

  • Technical Experience with Switching, Routing, Wireless Communication (WLAN and Modem). Cloud connectivity and Security: Design, project configuration, device configuration alongwith Network Management (NMS) will be a added advantage.

  • Proven ability to build trusting relationships with sales and customers

  • Willingness to learn Automation Solutions, High Available Industrial Networks, Security standards and best practices for industrial application

  • Fluent English

  • Growth Mindset with High sense of Ownership / Accountability

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

  • Professional network and security certifications (e.g. Siemens Security / Switching & Routing certification, Cisco CCNA/CCNP or higher or from other vendors) – will be a added advantage to have.

  • Experience with different network and security vendors (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Nozomi, HP Aruba) will be a added advantage.

  • Experience with PROFINET and Industrial Communication protocols and Industrial Network Implementations

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Industrial Control Systems
