Citigroup FX Salesperson - Corporates in Singapore, Singapore

The Corporate Salesperson is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. The candidate will be responsible for delivering world-class solutions that are as diverse as the needs of our clients. With trading floors located in over 80 countries across America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, we work around the clock to enrich the relationships, products, and technology that define our Market -making presence. We partner with our clients to provide solutions, insights, liquidity and risk management support when and where they need it.

To work with the Corporate Sales and Solutions team based in Singapore and the region, providing a complete Markets solution and advisory services to a portfolio of corporate clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in close liaison with the coverage banker team to deliver a coordinated business strategy across products, clients and delivery channels

  • Deliver best in class solutions to clients across FX, Risk Management Solutions and originate multi asset opportunities

  • Achieve ambitious personal and team goals in both market and wallet share from the identified client franchise, originate and execute meaningful and landmark transactions

  • Assist clients on non-market risk management challenges, for example, balance sheet, cash-flow/earnings risk analysis and strategic, episodic driven hedging discussions

  • Develop a deep and broad personal “trusted advisor” relationship with primary clients, aiming to a foster a strong relationship with key top-level decision makers.

  • Fostering an environment of collaboration through interfacing with appropriate internal partners to enhance share of mind with clients, increase dialogue and to deliver on expertise

  • Strive to deliver efficient FX execution solutions and to increase E-penetration

  • Ensure all desk activities are carried out in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including internal Citi policies, and to the highest ethical standards

  • Actively stay informed of changes in a dynamic, competitive marketplace and constantly changing regulatory environment in various countries within Asia

  • Understand and analyze clients’ businesses and exposures to provide best suited sales solutions in full coordination with all relevant business partners

  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure

  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics

  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience

  • Previous experience in client-facing roles with proven track record on growing and maintaining relationships through value added service and commercial skills

  • An entrepreneurial approach for business origination and developing new relationships

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
