AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

AWS is seeking a talented, self-directed Industry Marketing Manager/Financial Services Industry (FSI) Marketing Manager – ASEAN to join the ASEAN Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and executing innovative marketing programs for one of the most impactful customer segments within the 6 core ASEAN countries: Financial Services customers.

The Industry Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and programs to drive awareness, engagement, and demand within the Financial Services industry vertical across the ASEAN region. This is a regional marketing role requiring collaboration across various internal teams (Sales, Business Development, Solution Architects, Partner Marketing, Legal etc.) as well as external partners (marketing agencies, media publishers etc.) to drive industry priorities and growth acceleration. Ideally, you should have a track record of building successful, metrics driven, scalable, customer centric marketing programs.

A successful candidate must be flexible and agile enough to meet the rapid pace of service launches and product updates at AWS. The candidate must be organised and programmatic in his/her approach, as well as manage the programs and campaigns’ launch schedule.

Key job responsibilities

  • Author annual industry-specific marketing plans for the ASEAN region in alignment with sales leaders and regional industry marketing teams

  • Maximize existing and create new content resonating with and engaging the FSI customers. It includes messaging and tools focused on customers (solution videos, customer success stories, etc.) for use on the web, at live events and in customer facing programs.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and make sure the marketing programs are aligned with the goals of the AWS’s sales and business development teams.

  • Create and successfully drive awareness, adoption, and usage of AWS, ultimately delivering opportunities and pipeline for the sales team.

  • Collaborate closely with cross functional and regional teams to design and implement programs and campaigns that positively impacts business growth and enhance AWS reputation.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with FSI ISV/GSI partners to scale programs and engagement across the region.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with 3P partners, in order to scale programs across the region. It includes marketing agencies, industry associations, finance/industry media publishers.

  • Improve marketing readiness and contactability within the industry through targeted programs and insights.

  • Maximize core multi-industry AWS campaigns (AWS Summits, Quarterly campaigns , AWS ExecLeaders) by integrating tailored industry content and enablement.

  • Develop and execute strategic vertical-specific campaigns like symposiums, roundtables, innovation days, 3rd party sponsored events etc.

  • Manage campaign execution timelines, budgets, performance metrics and reporting. Report on activities, metrics, and forecasts to regional teams on a monthly/quarterly basis.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of work experience, preferably in marketing, marketing communications and/or digital/high-technology companies/product.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or relevant field of study.

  • Demonstrated success in programs and campaign execution, and/or project management.

  • A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable marketing results, driving marketing programs to ROI metrics.

  • Exceptional written/verbal communication and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Quick-learner with the demonstrated ability to prioritize.

  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization.

  • Proven success managing time and juggling multiple projects in a high growth environment where priorities shift fast
