What the day will look like

  • Within the Regional Marine team, work to support the Head of Cargo & Logistics in delivering the Cargo & Logistics strategy and growth across Asia.

  • Take ownership of the servicing and retention of an agreed number of key Cargo & Logistics accounts in the region.

  • Work with Aon retail teams to review, innovate and advise on the broking strategy for key clients, always seeking to bring the best of Aon to the client.

  • Drive uniformed discipline around Cargo & Logistics pipelining, process and actively participate in prospecting activities

  • Proactively manage and coordinate responses to quotations and tenders from the region, supporting placement where required.

  • Be part of the regional technical center of excellence for Cargo & Logistics, training colleagues, supporting client engagement, reviewing insurance structure and identifying cross-selling opportunities

  • Support major Cargo & Logistics claims advocacy across the region where required.

  • Build and foster rapport with colleagues across Aon, our insurers and reinsurers to develop leads and opportunities in an Aon United manner.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and operational procedures/processes.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Strong experience in applying technical Cargo and/or Logistics expertise to insurance placements and/or client servicing

  • Relevant qualifications in maritime and/or insurance are desirable

  • Proven track-record within the Cargo and/or Logistics Liabilities marine insurance market, ideally within Asia

  • Experience handling international, corporate or large complex commercial clients, ideally within Asia

  • Ability to forge positive relationships with country and specialty colleagues as well as clients and insurers, including a willingness to travel and engage with stakeholders across the region

  • Dedication to delivering outstanding client value through service, expertise and innovation

  • Ability to problem solve and think objectively on complex matters

  • Strong communicator, negotiator and advocator
