Boehringer Ingelheim Demand Supply Planning Manager HP, ROPU ASKAN in Singapore, Singapore

The Position:

Oversees, manages, and steers all demand planning activities for customers across a range of SKUs and product categories and thereby coordinates cross-functional inputs from sales and marketing and other sources to ensure optimized service levels and efficient inventory management.

Manage escalation of potential supply interruption & its supply allocation within the ROPU.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Manage replenishment planning activities within the ROPU by:
  1. Perform net requirement planning & coordinate with global suppliers on the timely shipment and delivery of the requirements.

  2. Coordinate input to SIC in case of supply interruption.

  3. Coordinate bottleneck & supply allocation (if required) in collaboration with ROPU Commercial Operations/Marketing and SNT/GSCM

  • Maintain SKU replenishment master data with the alignment & agreement with local OPUs (Safety Stock, minimum order size (EOQ), Demand and Shipment Consolidation, mode of transportation)

  • Manage the collaborative forecasting and replenishment process to align BI and customer plans on key events.

  • Pro-actively manage the alignment of APO with global CSCM contacts.

  • Coordinate demand planning part of the product life cycle:

  1. During launch: to ensure in time forecast allocation.

  2. On site transfers: to ensure phase in/out forecast, coordinate supply with PSM & validation of stockpiling if needed, master data creation/deactivation in various systems (i.e.: GRP, Futurcast/JDA)

  3. During phase out: to ensure forecast phase out as per depletion of the inventory.

  • Pivotal role working within S&OP cycle, facilitating the creation a robust demand forecast at SKU level across the operating horizon, by working closely with commercial and supply chain contacts.

Requirements:

  • University degree Bachelor or equivalent, supply chain major and/or MSc / MBA would be an advantage.

  • Certificates (preferred): APICS/CPIM

  • Proven capability in Demand Planning management in life science industry with at least 5 years’ experience (experience in Pharmaceuticals or Fast Moving Consumer Goods industries is preferable)

  • Experience in Demand Planning and Sales and Operations Planning within a manufacturing environment.

  • A good track record of work within Supply Chain or Commercial functions

  • In-depth understanding of and/or experience in supply chain management and systems

  • Have experienced to run/facilitate Sales & Operations Planning

  • Extensive knowhow in SAP APO and MS Excel are a must - analytics and mass data processing.

  • Excellent analytical capabilities to interpret information and reports

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Ability to manage complexity whilst being comfortable with ambiguity

  • Proficient in English

  • Excellent communication skills, influencing skills.

  • Excellent in business partnering

  • Effective negotiator with excellent presentation skills (oral and written)
