ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

The Material and Costing Intelligence function serves as the combined strategy and analytics team for Global Product Costing (GPC) and Materials Supply at VF. The Costing Analyst, Strategy, Material and Costing Intelligence will advance costing strategy at VF Corporation. Located in Singapore, the individual will contribute to product and material costing related strategic initiatives and operations that supports $5B USD spend across all VF brands, products and regions.

This individual has extensive focus on strategic product costing and data analysis , working actively to leverage GPC costing tools and systems with the aim of improving negotiation outcomes and margin planning. The individual will bring a strong analytical mindset to the organization and fully leverage “One VF” scale through use of harmonized and scalable fact-based costing methodologies and tools. Primary responsibilities include supporting COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) Guidance forecasting as well as guiding product development, engineering, and sourcing teams on cost reduction opportunities (e.g., negotiation preparation) . The individual will partner closely with other functions in the Costing Organization and Product vendors to ensure process and best practice adherence.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE :

Include but not limited to

  • Negotiation : By supplying information and/or in-person, support negotiation meetings with strategic suppliers to ensure cost optimization through a systematic and transparent approach.

  • Cost Benchmarking: Establish and continuously update industry leading costing frameworks, standards and tools that enable transparent, fact-based costing to identify opportunities and capture cost savings in an optimized framework.

  • Market Analysis: Vigorous review of market trends, macro-economic factors, and key cost drivers to stay relevant and abreast on potential risk factors. Understand impact on organization and inform stakeholders on relevant market trends to proactively respond to the dynamic cost environment in a timely manner.

  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional initiatives and conduct specific analyses as needed producing deliverables in a diverse, fast paced environment through extensive collaboration across teams.

  • Travel : 10%

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU :

Competency requirements:

  • Collaborative professional with extensive relevant business and analytics experience

  • Success in leading or participating in large-scale projects

  • Experience handling key partnerships, managing multiple stakeholder groups, and consistently delivering business results in a manner that fits with VF’s guiding principles

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills in a global matrix environment including strategic and innovative thinking

Skill Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in business strategy, procurement, finance or costing (Fresh graduates welcome)

  • Undergraduate degree in Quantitative/STEM field

  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Office tools, especially excel

  • Basic proficiency in data processing and visualization tools (e.g. Knim, Excel VBA, Tableau, etc.)

  • Strong business acumens

  • Interest in business intelligence and macroeconomics

  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills

  • Ability to influence and drive consensus

  • Strong in organization development and administration

  • Good communication skills: diplomatic, open, good listener, direct, succinct
