GE Aerospace Component Repair Technician (Plasma Spray) in Singapore, Singapore

Job Description Summary

You will perform cleaning & masking of parts to be plasma-sprayed. You are required to handle different engine models and stages of parts, masking and coating type needs, operate manual and auto grit blast machines.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform grit blast, degrease and masking of components

  • Check and establish appropriate programs for spraying

  • Spray components in accordance with OP specifications

  • Ensure proper documentations are maintained

  • Maintain Log on maintenance and rectification of robot/equipment

  • Maintain good housekeeping in work area/robots/equipment

  • Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ level and/or with 3 years of relevant experience

  • Preferably NITEC in Machining or equivalent

  • Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English

Desired Characteristics:

  • Possess basic technical know-how on the thermal spraying gun

  • Able to operate different types of coating spray

  • Able to operate grit blast machine, CNC machines, knowledge of CNC programming and plasma spray
