GE Aerospace Component Repair Technician (Mechanical Clean) in Singapore, Singapore

Job Description Summary

You will independently operate mechanical cleaning processes for all shops’ component repair operations.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform grit blast, shot peen, glass peen, tumble, ultrasonic, vapor blast, etching, water flow, turbo jet washer, blade flusher, plastisol injection, plastisol burnout and barrel finishing, honey comb seal removal

  • Perform necessary pre-checks before operations

  • Ensure all production data are filled in correctly in the Log Book

  • Ensure process and certification are in line with due date

  • Differentiate the different tumbler, shot and glass peening machine utilization

  • Perform daily maintenance checklist and ensure safe working practices

  • Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ level with 3 years of relevant experience

  • Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English

Desired Characteristics:

  • Exposure in operating tumbler and peening machines

  • Able to perform quality audits and pre-production qualification procedures

  • Able to multi task and ensure proper documentation and handling of log books

  • Able to operate manual and auto grit blast machine

  • Discipline and strict adherence to Operating and Quality procedures

  • Fully understand process parameters and able to produce good quality parts

  • Willing to work in a hot and noisy environment

  • A team player
