Overview

Are you looking to become a part of a multi-functional team of commercial, technical, and regional partners? SK-II is a billion dollar prestige brand of P&G that is seeking a passionate Brand Manager (China Market) to join our growing team of Brand Managers! You will identify business opportunities and work with the multi-functional team to build cohesive commercial plans! You are expected to lead and collaborate with different subject matter experts to deliver end-to-end plans for the region via qualifying communication ideas, adjusting portfolio pricing and identifying shopping barriers and opportunities.

Your Team

You and other Brand Managers (each handling a brand/category) will report to the Brand Director for the Category or Business Unit. You will work extensively with colleagues from Analytics and Insight, Sales, Communications, Finance etc.

What Success Looks Like

  • Deliver Scorecard Business Targets, in line with the goals of the Business Unit

  • Deliver Category growth, market penetration and gaining of New Users via Products Innovation Design, particularly in Greater China

  • Successful Design and Deployment of Marketing Toolkits for the Brand

​Responsibilities of the role

  • Brand Strategy: Owns the Integrated Brand Plan, Brand Strategy and Initiative Masterplan to create and execute brand strategies for key projects and initiatives to deliver brand growth. Own P&L investment decisions to maximise profitability.

  • Brand Planning & Executions: Identify Chinese consumers' needs and wants for P&G's products, lead consumer reseach in developing a qualified brand concept, benefit and claims that addresses the Chinese consumers' unmet needs.

  • Collaboration: Work with R&D and technical team to design the right package & formula to win locally with key customers and/or channels while managing the product cost within affordable levels. Collaborate with local trade team to craft promotion/ pricing strategy and customer/ distributor trade terms. Communicate with Chinese market partners, stakeholders and suppliers to drive P&G's business

Job Qualifications

  • Undergraduate/Masters Degree ideally in a business related field

  • 2-7 years of proven experience in brand management, consulting or consumer journey design experience or similar required

  • You are business proficient in the Mandarin language and possess strong market knowledge of Greater China as the role requires local consumer understanding to develop brand equity and marketing strategies for Greater China market

  • Experiences working in China/ on the China market

  • Excellent forward-thinking, strategic and courageous leadership skills

  • Strengths with strategic and analytical thinking/ problem-solving abilities

  • An ability to drive innovation and brand growth

  • Strong ability to communicate and team capabilities
