Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of Regional Treasury in Asia Pacific ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Day to day support of both Regional Liquidity Management and GT Short-term Trading Desks in Asia Pacific

Accountabilities

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

  • The incumbent is responsible for supporting the infrastructure across the various Asia Pacific units to ensure compliance with liquidity management guidelines from parent and regional regulators.

  • Support implementation of global and local treasury frameworks, guidelines, strategies and initiatives with a view to regional centralization and process & procedure standardization.

  • Support ongoing improvements in management of Funding & Liquidity, Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), HQLA strategies, Liquidity Stress Testing and limit management (credit/market risk)

  • Maintain and continuously enhance regional Treasury MIS data base to support departmental reporting and analytics.

  • Generate ongoing and adhoc reporting and analysis for Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Treasury Centre PnL and other as required to facilitate decision making and desk strategy.

  • Support the Regional Treasury Head in implementing strategies, plans regulations and initiatives related to region’s Treasury activity.

  • Providetrading desk coverageand supportduring planned and unplanned absences of traders from GT Short Term Desks across Asia Pacific

  • Develop and maintain a network ofinternalcontacts, both domestic, regionalandat parent levelto facilitate exchange of all-bank best practices and institutional insights and know how.

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Experience/Other Information

  • Deep product knowledge and experience.

  • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in a Treasury environment or c omparable role.

  • Proven track record of execution in a trading environment in Asia.

  • Strong relationship skills to partner with other functional areas in achieving franchise growth.

  • Strong personal attributes including enthusiasm, initiative, persistence, results driven, attention to details.
