The Egg Financial Controller in Singapore or, Hong Kong

We are a fast-growing digital marketing agency with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Japan, South Korea and United Kingdom.

We are now looking for an experienced Financial Controller who will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of our business. Lead the company's finance and accounting department.

This role can either be based in Hong Kong or Singapore and report to the Managing Director (based in Hong Kong).

Responsibilities:

  • Developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting

  • Financial reporting and analysis

  • Regular budget consolidation

  • Cash flow management

  • Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business

  • Stakeholder management

  • Debt management and collection

  • Preparing company tax and financial statements

  • Work with external auditors and other local accounting firms on annual audits

  • Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations

  • Developing financial reviews and providing financial advice

  • Act as company secretary on annual return renewals, business certification renewals

  • Manage renewals for office insurance, company vehicle license, travel insurance

  • Oversee and review for payroll in multiple locations

  • Working closely with management team to share reports and analysis findings

  • Head up the finance team, providing mentoring and guidance

  • Any other ah-hoc assigned by the managing director

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in accounting or finance

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience handling accounting for multiple countries in APAC region

  • At least 2 years in a management or supervisory level

  • Preferably worked in SME international companies

  • ACCA / CPA qualified

  • Good communication skills, English fluency and working level Mandarin

  • Previous knowledge of using accounting software such as NetSuite and Kingdee

  • Knowledge of opening new offices in other countries

  • Preferably have good working knowledge of accounting practices in multiple locations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, UK and China.
