Adecco US, Inc. Electronics Design Engineer (Reliability & Analysis) in Simsbury, Connecticut

Our Aerospace & Defense Electronics engineering team is rapidly expanding to support the development of Flight Termination Systems and Tactical electronics for Space & Defense applications. We're seeking a motivated Electronics Design Engineer (Reliability & Analysis) to join our team. Reporting to the Electrical Product Development Lead, this role presents an excellent opportunity for engineers keen on electronic hardware design and analysis to advance their careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop mathematical and simulation models for circuits and components to ensure robust performance.

  • Conduct EE component level derating calculations to optimize reliability.

  • Lead the development of Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to mitigate potential risks.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to investigate and resolve circuit design issues effectively.

  • Apply reverse engineering concepts where necessary to enhance circuit analyses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in hardware verification and validation methodologies.

  • Strong background in circuit analysis, worst-case scenario assessment, and failure mode effects & criticality analysis.

  • Demonstrated expertise in analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuit design.

  • Prior experience in power electronics design.

  • Proven track record in problem-solving and root cause analysis.

  • Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

  • Familiarity with circuit and system-level reliability calculations.

  • Knowledge of industry standards in military, aerospace, medical, or automotive electronics, including design factors of safety and product verification.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Altium Designer for PCB design.

  • Experience with MATLAB for mathematical modeling and analysis.

  • Familiarity with circuit simulation software such as LTspice.

  • Expertise in FMECA, worst-case analyses, and component derating.

  • Experience using RELEX reliability prediction software.

  • Knowledge of safety subsystem design and analysis.

  • Ability to develop test plans, generate test reports, and proficiency in technical writing.

  • Experience with safety-critical aerospace & defense electronics products and associated equipment like electronic loads and signal generators.
