RSA designs and produces custom-engineered high pressure/high-temperature ducting assemblies for each customer’s specific performance requirements. RSA’s Peri-SealTM is one of the most sought-after connectors in the aerospace industry. Additionally, RSA designs and produces flexible joints and hoses, ozone converters and many complex assemblies to meet stringent customer needs.

Job Summary:

The General manager is responsible for direct oversite of the Simi Valley location consisting of 87 employees. In this role you will establish current and long range objectives, plans and policies for the location, in addition to running day-to-day operations and guiding general business strategy, while directing the company toward the objective of providing maximum profit and return on invested capital.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for talent at the location, including, hiring, training, development, and other areas of human resources.

Set sales goals for their team and track cash flow.

Ensure scheduling of staff.

Collaborate with Aerospace Executive Management to develop the basic objectives, policies, and operating plans of the business.

Responsible for all aspects of the operation – planning, direction, coordination. Strategic focus will be on increasing margin and revenue and increasing the customer base.

Ensures that company policies are uniformly understood, properly interpreted, and administered by staff.

Reviews and approves proposed internal policies.

Responsible for sales and distribution of products – including responding to customer’s RFQ’s.

Develop and maintain good customer relations. Deliver and maintain superior customer service.

Ensures that adequate plans for future development and growth of the company are prepared and

participates in their preparation.

Establishes and maintains an effective system of communications throughout the company.

Ensures the adequacy and soundness of the company’s financial structure, reviews projections of the company’s working capital requirements.

Review financial statements, sales reports, and purchase reports.

Continuously assess and analyze areas where cost control or reductions can be implemented.

Analyzes operating results of the company relative to established objectives and ensures steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.

Prescribes the specific limitations of the authority of staff regarding policies, contractual commitments, expenditures, and personnel actions.

Plans for the development of personnel resources within the company and supports programs which encourage successful future management of the company.

Represents RSA with major customers, suppliers, government agencies, etc.

Provide the required discipline, evaluations, and feedback in order for employees to be successful.

Conform to company safety policies and procedures.

Work in a team environment.

Minimum Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, business administration, or related field. Ten to fifteen years in a manufacturing environment in a management capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of five years’ experience in a high-mix manufacturing environment with direct operational and budgetary responsibility.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Physical Abilities Required:

Must be able to read, write and speak English, individual is required to sit for long periods of time, occasionally required to walk, stoop, use hands to finger (keyboard), talk and hear. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

The pay scale for this position ranges from $200,100 to $380,100 annually.
