ASRC Federal Holding Company Network Engineers mid, senior and SME level in Silver Spring, Maryland

ASRC Federal Data Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking Network Engineers at the mid, senior and subject matter expert level to support our NOAA programs on site in Silver Spring, Maryland.

These roles are 100% on site position.

Key Role:

  • Provide enterprise support for client infrastructure. Must be well versed with various Data Center technologies and provide enterprise architecture engineering skills and support.

  • Provide support for network operations managing Cisco Router switches, Juniper Routers, Citrix NetScaler, Dell Switches and Nexus Data Center switches. Manage TACACS

  • Prioritize tasks and identify bottlenecks in the environment.

  • Evaluate tools and oversee deployment in working environment.

  • Identify improvements and lead projects to optimize client infrastructure.

  • Proficient in VMWare Esxi infrastructure and knowledge on deploying VM’s

  • Must be well experienced or expert at various models of Cisco switches and routers, Expert knowledge of Citrix Netscaler LB, Juniper routers and Dell switches

  • Serve as the systems architect for improving and optimizing the current state, and designing and building the next generation infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot extremely complex problems to resolution

  • Senior and mid level will also maintaining a stable LAN/WAN environment

  • Patch infrastructure devices monthly or on as needed basis for vulnerabilities.

  • Use Solarwinds and Big Brother monitoring tools to manage and maintain the Network environment

Requirements :

All positions require US Citizenship to meet government access requirements

Subject Matter Expert level:

  • 12 + years of experience with planning, designing, and installing virtualShould have expert level knowledge on Enterprise Data Center technologies

  • Be well versed with current Enterprise networking technologies

  • CCIE required

Senior Network Engineer:

  • 8 – 12 years of experience with planning, designing and installing virtual hardware/software/storage within an Enterprise data center

  • Cisco Certified Network professional ( CCNP) or equivalent

  • Should have expert level knowledge on Cisco and Juniper network equipment

  • PKI infrastructure Management

  • VMWare ESXi

Network Engineer:

  • 4 + years of hands on experience

  • Experience patching devices monthly or on as needed basis for vulnerabilities and resolving daily issues on network devices and escalate if assistance required

  • Experience troubleshooting issues on TACACS, Load balancers, Switches, and routers as well as issues on Certificate and PKI infrastructure

  • Must be available for 24x7 on call rotation
