IHG Attendant Room (Teen Academy) in Sierra Vista, Arizona

The IHG Teen Academy is a summer work program designed to ignite teens’ career interest in the Hospitality Industry. We are looking for energetic and conscientious teens that are interested in working this summer in the hospitality industry. Our goal is for you to help us provide excellent service to our guest, while at the same time earn a generous paycheck and hopefully spark interest in a career in the hospitality industry. Qualified teens between the ages of 14 and 17 can gain valuable work experience, earn a summer paycheck, log community service hours, AND HAVE FUN!

Your Teen Academy Employment Will Include:

  • Working alongside our Room Attendant team to clean and service our guestrooms.

  • Work alongside our Houseperson team to clean public areas, bathrooms, trash removal, and restocking of housekeeping carts.

  • You will spend a training day with the Maintenance team to understand the mechanical operations of the building.

  • You will work in the laundry facility to understand the process flow of the hotels’ linen.

  • Work in the breakfast facility to learn about food prep and service.

  • Engage in a training day of Front Office operations.

  • Participate in field trip activities.

  • Join in community service activities.

  • Complete an essay review of your Teen Academy experience.

This job requires the ability to perform the following:

• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing and or pulling approximately 200 pounds

• Frequently standing up and moving about the facility

• Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility

• Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling
