Assist supervisors in identifying, planning for, and filling personnel needs. Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees. Assists with reviewing production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division. Assists with analysis of budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget. Recommends budgets to management. Coordinates activities of plant departments to effect operational efficiency and economy. Provide direction and guidance to production supervisors and the maintenance supervisor. Support and positively communicate company policy and procedure. Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area. Assist supervisors and managers when taking disciplinary action regarding hourly/salary employees. Document all meetings held with employees. Document any disciplinary action taken. Coordinate with engineering on future projects to ensure Hydro Extrusion ability to produce the product, as well as profitability. Coordinate with the quality on reactive and proactive issues concerning quality. Assist in determining overtime schedules. Exhibit a professional and positive approach at all times. When conditions dictate, extended work weeks may be required with little or no prior notification. Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum of ten years of supervisory or related experience in a manufacturing environment is required, preferably in metal manufacturing facility. A four-year college degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent is required. Requires the knowledge of plant operations and extrusion and/or fabrication of aluminum products.
