The team

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for environmental, health, and safety regulations and protocols within the organization, implementing strategies to minimize risks and promote a safe and sustainable work environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for HSE activities in accordance with legal and company requirements.

  • Interpret laws, regulations and procedures, considering all relevant local/national EHS standards in the organization

  • Induction training and testing of employees regarding HSE and emergency situations.

  • Evaluate working conditions to identify unsafe situations or equipment.

  • Run daily verifications in the manufacturing area to ensure that all equipments are functioning properly and working efficiently to create optimal safety for employees

  • Investigate accidents to identify root cause, eliminate potential risks and develop solutions that will reduce the probability of other accidents to occur.

  • Organize programs for medical monitoring and employee safety, and conduct educational trainings to instruct all workers on proper workplace behavior and activity.

  • Maintain a database of present materials that are hazardous or toxic to guarantee each is properly handled during use and disposed of later on

  • Develop emergency situations plans and create employee resources to direct workers in potentially dangerous situations.

  • Manage site inspections carried out by regulatory agencies.

Your qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environment protection, engineering, or related field.

  • Internal auditor according to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

  • You have a minimum experience of 3 years as a Health and Safety Specialist in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with risk assessments, EHS guidelines, incident management, EHS audits and EHS management system, root cause analysis, process development and improvement.

  • You are familiar with different software like: MS Office 365, SAP, CAD

  • You can speak English at a conversational level, German is a plus.

  • Willing to learn, adapt to new projects and situations.

  • Skilled in communication, awareness and training of the employees.
