Eaton Corporation Metering Brake Press Operator- 2nd Shift in Sherman, Texas

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Metering Brake Press Operator- 2nd Shift. Primary responsibilities include operating production equipment specifically brake press operations for fabrication of products. The rate for this position is $21.20 per hour plus a shift differential of $.60/hour. The core hours are 2:30 pm -11:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

• Set up, understand and proficiently operate all Press Brake controls.

• Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.

• ID and tag shop orders with the product. Retrieve/enter data into system.

• Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.

• Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.

• Brake components based on print specifications.

• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• One year of Press Brake or Machine Operations experience in Metal Fabrication.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Computer skills to include bending program loading.

• Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills.

Skills:

• Able to stand on feet continuously during shift and able to lift 50 lbs with or without accommodation.

• Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high-noise areas).

• Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, and sparks.
